A house in Subhashnagar area was burgled on Tuesday afternoon. The theft occurred between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. when the lady of the house was away in the neighbourhood. 

As informed by the owner Mahendra Jain who lives in the 2nd lane in Subhashnagar, his wife went for some work in the neighbourhood at 2 p.m. When she returned, her domestic help was also with her and they found that the lock of the main door was broken.

When they went inside the house, they saw that the cupboards were open and cash and jewellery were taken away. There was 3.25 lakh rupees in cash and gold jewellery in these cupboards which were stolen by the thieves.

Police was called and they have inspected the site. The residents of this area said that the theft occurred despite the fact that both the main doors of house of the neighbour and the robbed house are close by, despite this no one could get to know of the theft. Police is checking the CCTV footages and trying to find the culprits.
