Police recovered a dead body from the Peeth Lake in the Dhambola Police Station area of Dungerpur district today.
The deceased was identified as 17 year old Fahzan. Fahzan had left home on his Enfield. His dead body was found in this condition in the morning and his bike was found in Simalwara.
Fahzan's body was found with the feet tied and a stone tied to his waist, indicating a forced drowning, after possible murder.
Members of the the deceased as well as villagers from the rural town of Simalwara forced the markets to closedown and laid barricades on the Simalwara-Sarthuna and Mandli road. The agitated family members and villagers of Simalwara demanded arrest of the culprits within 24 hours. Police have managed to pacify the family members, while the search for the culprits is on.
