Udaipur: In a tragic turn of events in Bichiwada, Dungarpur district, Suresh Panchal, a 55-year-old man, died while in police custody at the Rishabhdev police station. Suresh was brought in for questioning regarding the alleged purchase of stolen goods.

Udaipur, Aug 5, 2025: In a tragic turn of events in Udaipur, Suresh Panchal, a 55-year-old resident of Bichiwada, Dungarpur district, died while in police custody at the Rishabhdev police station. Suresh was brought in for questioning regarding the alleged purchase of stolen goods. His health reportedly deteriorated rapidly while at the station, leading to his transfer to a nearby health center where he was pronounced dead.

Following the news, his family and members of the Panchal community gathered in large numbers, accusing the police of physical abuse and demanding justice. The situation escalated, prompting the arrival of additional police forces, including Deputy SP Rajiv Rahar. The community called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Suresh's death, and raised serious concerns about police conduct and accountability.
