A departmental case has been registered against LPG Cylinder providers in Hathipole and Sector 11 for collecting Rs 100 against issuing application forms under the Prime Minister Ujjawal Scheme. Complaints towards the illegal collection of application fees was received against these centres post which inquiry was initiated.

Jashoda Indian Gas Services, Hathipole, M/s Meera Gas Services and M/s Nutan Gas Services, Sector-11 were found guilty under the complaints. Post that the department has penalised the three vendors by confiscating their security deposits.

The three vendors have also warned that any such action in future will command a termination of licence.
