Dhanmandi Police arrested 1 person in connection with manufacture and sale of fake ghee. Son of the accused person fled the scene and is currently absconding.

Rajendra Goyal, SP, informed that Trainee RPS Rhishikesh Meena got a tip-off from an informer that one Harish and his father Narayanlal were involved in manufacturing of fake ghee in their house situated at Nayapura area behind Hotel Meera.

Basis the tip-off, Dhanmandi police first gave four notes of Rs 500 to head constable Baluram and asked him to book 4 boxes of ghee. Post that team of Meena, head constable Ramkumar, constable Kalu Lal, Balwant Singh and Om Prakash raided the house.

When the team reached the godown situated on first floor of the house, they found Narayanlal reorganising the boxes whereas Harish, sensing trouble, fled the scene.

Police confiscated 4 boxes of Nova Ghee (15kg), 2 boxes of Saras Ghee, one box of Frytime (40.5 kg), 10 boxes of Hari Vanaspati and 8 boxes of Frytime Soyabeen oil. Police also confiscated equipment involved in making fake ghee including boxes, packing materials, covers etc.

In interrogation, Narayalal accepted manufacturing and sale of fake ghee.
