Two groups of students from CSS and ABVP clashed over continuous rivalry. Cross case has been lodged by both groups accusing each other for starting the fight. The groups were alleged for disturbing peace of the college, abusing and assaulting students on petty issues.

According to Commerce College student leader Mayur Dhawj Singh, “They went to Vice Chancellor’s office in protest about certain issues of college. Meanwhile the rival group also reached VC’s office where began the tension between both groups.”

The similar claim was also made by the other group led by Himanshu Choudhary who said that while they were protesting on demands, the rival group came there and started the fight.

Two students were reportedly injured in the fight which was later controlled by security personnel. Additional police force under the direction of Dy S.P Goverdhanlal Khatik reached at campus to control the situation.
