Dungarpur - an attempt to loot on the road leads to the death of a 2 yr old infant

A 2 year old boy died and his parents got injured after miscreans pelted the family with stones, in a bid to loot them.  The family of three were returning home from a wedding ceremony on their motorcycle when the miscreants attacked them. The location where the incident took place on Saturday 24 June, comes under the Chorasi Police Station circle of Dungarpur district.

The Station House Officer of the Chorasi Police Station, Amrit Lal said, "The victim, Vikram Parmar in his report informed that he, his wife Shilpa and their 2 yr old son Varun went to attend his brother in law's wedding that was held at Godara village. The  trio was returning home when a group of 6-7 miscreants suddenly attacked them as soon as they reached near Khaturat Primary Health Center. The  accused pelted stones on the trio in an attempt to stop them so that they could loot them of their valuables".

The victim lost his control on his motorcycle during the attack and fell down on the road. While Vikram and Shilpa sustained injuries, their son Varun, unfortunately fell on the road and sustained a head injury that eventually led to his death. Vikram and his wife Shilpa was rushed to hospital for treatment while Varun wass declared dead. The accused, in the  meanwhile, fled from the scene immediately after the attack,  informed Amrit Lal.

Lal said that a team of Chorasi police station also reached the hospital and a case of murder has been lodged by the police against unidentified persons and an investigation has been launched.
