An eight month old girl was killed mercilessly by her father on Sunday at Hiran Magri, Udaipur.

Ashok Kumar Meena, engineer at central Public Works Department smashed her daughter on ground repeatedly till the baby died, he later stamped the 8 month old Ranu with his feet till the neighbors get hold of him and handed over to police.

This heinous crime on Sunday morning shook the locals, it is believed that Ashok was suffering psychological problems though the motive behind his inhuman act is still unclear.

Ashok a native of Karauli is staying in Udaipur for last three years with his wife and daughters (an 8 month old ranu and 4 year old nandita).

Family of his wife is based in Jaipur, her father is a senior officer in Food Corporation of India.
