It seems to be hitting rock bottom in Udaipur. A report has been lodged in Surajpole Police station against a man for allegedly molesting his daughters aged 11 years and 6 years. The report was lodged by the accused’s wife.

The lady in her report said that she was married to the accused 19 years ago. Her husband was a drunkard and used to pick up regular fights with her. Despite having 4 kids, he would not give her money for household expenses. She would engage in labour work herself to take care of her own expenses and expenses of the kids. He would also hit her and pick up fights on a daily basis after coming home drunk. Tired, she left him and went away 4 months back. The entire story of molestation was narrated to her by her daughters when she returned back after 4 months.

The two innocent and scared girls said that their father would pick them up even before her mother had left. He would pick them up while they were sleeping with their mother or grand mother. He would then take off their clothes and molest them. On crying or shouting, he would threaten to beat them up. Scared the girls never spoke of this to anyone before finally narrating the story to their mother on her return.

On coming to know of this the enraged mother took the girls to counselling and protection centre for women. With their help, report was lodged at Surajpole Police Station.
