Noted criminal, Sadar Teetro, was found by Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police to be running a gang in UP and extorting money from people while being lodged in jail. This came to light when UP Police nabbed a criminal earlier this week and carried out investigation.

A doctor in Saharanpur, Shadab Ansari was being blackmailed and threated by goons for extorting money. The gang members also got Shadab Ansari to speak with Sadar on phone. Sadar threatened the doctor to pay extortion money or face consequences.

When Police got hold of the culprits and checked their call details, a phone made on Tuesday at 1:30pm was traced back to Udaipur Jail location. The arrested person told Police that the doctor was made to speak with Sadar lodged in Udaipur Jail and that they had been carrying out extortion business under the guidance of Sadar.

The question remains open – how does a criminal have easy access to phone while lodged in high security places like a jail. While Saharanpur SP, Vineet Bhatnagar said that it is a serious matter and they are investigating the same. Given that this investigation requires coordination between 2 State Polices, the matter may take sometime.
