Explosive supplier unveiled – Arrested from Indore

Avinash Baheti

An explosive supplier has been identified by Udaipur police. Explosives worth 300 crores were supplied by this vicious man. Avinash Baheti s/o Mahendra Baheti was arrested from Indore by Pratap Nagar police,Udaipur.

Fake companies were made in the name of servants and relatives. Through these companies 1500 trucks containing ammonium-nitrate worth 300 crore rupees were supplied in various parts of the country in the last one and half years. Police is deeply investigating the matter to find out if the explosives supplied were used in bomb explosions in several parts of the country.

Sukher police had seized a truck containing ammonium nitrate on 15th February last year. The truck had 270 bags containing 50 kilos of ammonium nitrate in each bag. Truck driver Dilip Singh Jhala of Rajsamand was arrested in this matter. Later on 10th March 2016, Pratap Nagar police seized another truck having the same explosive in 306 bags of 50 kilos each. Truck driver Ram Singh Rajput was arrested. While investigations were going on, these two cases were found linked to each other and gradually police identified the main culprit.

The truck that was seized on 15th February 2016 had come from Pune(Maharashtra). The truck was billed as containing sodium sulphate and was not checked by anyone and covered a distance of 893 kms. In Satpura, the driver managed to escape by fooling the sales tax officer.

Since the suppliers and the customers turned out to be fake, there are all the chances that the explosives have been and are still being used threatening the nation’s safety. The point of concern is that there are no whereabouts available regarding the supply of explosives worth 300 crore rupees. SP Rajendra Goyal said that police is investigating the matter very seriously.

Primary investigations reveal that Avinash Baheti made 8 fake companies under the names of Sri Tirupati Enterprises, Balaji Drilling, Balaji Traders, GT Sales, Balaji Enterprises, SriNath Enterprises, Tirupati Enterprises and Tirupati Trading. These companies are registered under the names of relatives and servants. Tirupati Trading Company is registered under the name of Ghevar Singh of Bhilwara and Balaji Enterprises is registered under the name of Bal Mukund Vaishnav of Bhilwara. The point here is that Ghevar Singh is an extremely poor man but the company has a turnover of around a crore of rupees. The company’s bank account is with ICICI and the contact details provided are that of Avinash Baheti.
