Udaipur, March 27, 2025: The Mavli police of Udaipur district have arrested a 35 year old taxi driver for raping his own daughter and allegedly sexually assaulting her freind.

The incident came to light when the 11 year old  victim some how reached at the Mavli police station and informed the police about the ordeal.

Station House Officer - Mavli, Ashok Kumar said "It was on Sunday when the victim girl and her freind both reached at the police station she gave a report to the police in which she blamed her own father for raping her. She told the police that her mother died a year back after which was staying alone with her father. Since then, he was raping her on different occasions and also threatened her not to share these episodes with anyone. It was on Friday night when the father of her friend who is also a taxi driver dropped her at her house to be with her as he was going on trip and her mother too has left them following a dispute. But her father sexually assaulted her friend too".

Fed up with her father's harassment, she, on Sunday morning went to the police station and lodged a complaint against him, said SHO.

He further added that following the report of the victim, the accused has been detained and a case of has been registered against him under sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and Section 64 of Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).The investigation is underway and the police is now interrogating the accused further and the medical examination of the victim has been conducted.
