The Ambamata Police have identitied the car driver whose car hit a motorbike in the early hours of 9 May, leading to the death of the bike driver outside Field Club on the Saheliyon ki Badi road.

Ambamata Police Station Officer Dr. Hanumat Singh Rajpurohit has confirmed to Udaipur Times that the car driver involved in the accident has been identified as Sanjay Khamesra, a resident of Ambatama area in Udaipur.

Rajpurohit informed that on the day of the accident, Sanjay Khamesra left home in the early hours to go to Field Club, for his regular morning routine. He left his home at Ambamata, and when he reached the gate of Field Club, he turned the car in sharply and rashly, without looking out for any nearby vehicles or people. This rash driving led him to hit the bike being driven by Vipin, which caused Vipin to fall, hit his head badly on the footpath and succumb to his injuries on the spot.

Rajpurohit further informed, now that the accused has been identified, the legal process will begin.  The vehicle being driven by Sanjay Khamesara will be confiscated and a case will be registered under various sections of the IPC and he will also be arrested.

Rajpurohit added, that on the day of the accident, it was being assumed that the car hit the bike when it was exiting the club. But in the investigations, this hypothesis was proved wrong. As explained above, the accident happened when the vehicle was turning into the Field Club entrance gates. The Police will reveal the details of the investigation in due course.

The accident happened on Thursday, 9 May in the early morning hours, when the deceased, Vipin Meena was on his way for training at a Gym in Saheli Nagar. While driving, he reached near the Club gate, and he was hit by the car after which he fell on the ground, hit his head on the footpath. The fall led to seriour injuries on his head. He was taken to hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. It also came to light on initial investigations that the camera on the entrance to Field Club was not working at the time of the incident.

Earlier, after the incident, the family of the deceased spoke to the media and accused the Field Club of attempting to protect the accused, in collusion with the Police. The car and car number mentioned at that time also turned out to be wrong and even the theory that the car hit the bike while it was leaving the Field Club.
