Jeet Singh Chundwat, Congress Chief at Mavli was shot at today morning in Hiran Magri. The incident took place today morning when he was taking his morning walk in the garden opposite Guru Nanak School, Hiran Magri.

The incident took place at 7 am today morning. There was a firing sound shocking the people in the nearby area. They then saw blood flowing out of Jeet Singh’s arm and realised that someone had shot him.  He was immediately rushed to MB hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Sanjeev Swami, Hiran Magri SHO immediately rushed to the spot with his team. People in the area informed that they did not see anyone fire at Jeet and apparently the shooter fired at him hiding in some area.

Jeet gave names of a few people that he suspected could be behind the incident. Police has however not revealed the names to media. Jeet however accused political opposition as possible source to the media.

Police is currently investigating the matter.
