Finally giving in to mental stress, a fruit vendor at Savina fruit and vegetable market committed suicide by jumping into Fateh Sagar.

The deceased has been identified as Govind (50) s/o Roopchand Sindhi. Govind was a resident of Titardi and used to sell fruits at Savina fruit and vegetable market.

Govind jumped into Fatehsagar on Tuesday while his body was recovered with the help of divers yesterday.

Prior to jumping into Fatehsagar, Govind called up his family and informed them about his action. The family members tried to convince him but to no avail. The family members called up Control room. Control room also called up Govind and tried to convince him but Govind jumped in and ended his life.
