A lady has filed a case at Ghantaghar Police station area alleging rape after her drink was spiked with drugs. The lady was trying to save her elder sister from the clutches of the accused when this incident happened.

As per report lodged with Ghantaghar Police, the accused Vikas (s/o Prakash Mathur), a resident of Sector-14 used to work in a cafe in Ghataghar Police station area. The cafe was close to the victim’s house. Vikas had taken some objectionable photographs of victim’s elder sister and was black-mailing her with the photographs. Trying to defend her sister, the victim got in touch with Vikas. Vikas asked the victim to meet him at a hotel. At the hotel, Vikas spiked the victim’s cold drink with drugs and got her unconscious. Vikas then raped her and took objectionable photographs of her and used them to blackmail her. He threatened the victim against informing anyone about the incident.

The victim, on her return back, informed the family members and they reached out to the SP. A police case was filed under section 376 after initial investigations confirmed rape.

Ghantaghar SHO Gopal Chandel informed that victim’s statements will be recorded under CRPC 164 and investigations will be initiated.
