A girl was injured after being brutally attacked by her ex-beau outside her hostel in Udaipur’s Ashok Nagar area today.

The attacker was apprehended by Udaipur Police while the victim had been rushed to the hospital soon after the attack.

The attack has shocked the other residents of the hostel as well as the residents of the surrounding areas.

For the past three years, Komal Singh, the victim of the attack, had been in a relationship with the attacker, Kuldeep Sharma (in photo), a salesman who works in Banswara.

However, Komal had become engaged to another man last year. Following this, Kuldeep followed the victim around and unsuccessfully tried to convince her to break her engagement and continue their relationship.

When Komal who hails from Dungarpur was leaving her hostel this morning at 9 am, she was stopped by Kuldeep who confronted her and attempted to convince her to reconsider their relationship. However, the conversation became heated and finally, Kuldeep attacked his ex-beau with a knife several times, injuring her in the neck and abdomen.

Following the attack, the attacker rushed the victim to the emergency ward of the MB Hospital. After hospitalizing her, he rushed from the hospital but was apprehended by the police on charges of attempted murder.

The victim’s condition has been described as out of danger. Her parents have been informed of the situation by the police.
