Accused in Goverdhan Vilas murder case arrested.
Accused in Goverdhan Vilas murder case, the merchant from Savina mandi is in police custody now. Rakesh Khatwani, cloth merchant in Savina Mandi, was murdered near Saras milk parlour in Goverdhan Vilas area.
Mahesh Sindhi, accused in this case, was arrested and presented before the court on Tuesday. He has been put under police remand for 3 days. Investigations are being done to find out more details in this matter.
As per sources, the contract killer who was hired to murder Rakesh has also been arrested. Dinesh, resident of Uttar Pradesh and a contract killer shot Rakesh after Mahesh introduced them to each other. After opening fire at Rakesh both Mahesh Sindhi and Dinesh ran from the spot. It is not yet proved whether Dinesh has been arrested or not but Udaipur police are in Uttar Pradesh for this purpose. The bike and gun used during the murder have not yet been recovered.
Mahesh Sindhi had borrowed 1 lakh rupees from Rakesh Khatwani and they had an argument over this amount since it was not returned. Mahesh Sindhi had made up his mind to kill Rakesh after this argument. For this, he and Dinesh called Rakesh to a lonely place at 9 p.m. and shot him there.
