Directorate General of GST Intelligence has tightened its noose around Nathdwara based Miraj Group following serious allegation of tax evasion.
In a raid conducted by the sleuths today, the offices were raided following serious allegations against the Miraj Group.
The allegations made against the Miraj Group include a report of theft of Rs 300 Crore GST in the sale of Pan Masala and other related products by the Group, which is owned by Madan Paliwal of Nathdwara. He is said to have very close connections with political leaders from most political parties.
The Miraj Group is known to spend a humongous sum in charity and public service.
Sleuths from the DGGI raided the offices and factories of Miraj Group in Rajsamand, Nathdwara, Udaipur and Ahmedabad.
