The intentions of a newly appointed hotel employee went wrong after seeing a handsome amount of cash lying on the hotel’s cash counter; however he was unaware of the close circuit cameras, as he picked up Rs.40,000 from the counter and fled away.

The thief is identified as Sunil Khandelwal, resident of Ramganj, Kota and was working as a room boy at Hotel Greenview located at Gulab Bagh road.

According to the hotel manager, Rohit Soni, on the morning of 9th August when he came to the hotel, he discovered the cash locker was left opened and all cash which was around Rs. 40,000 were vanished.

Soni checked the CCTV footage and found Sunil allegedly stealing the money. Surajpol Police was informed and a case has been lodged. The Police is trying to get hold of Sunil Khandelwal who joined the hotel 15 days back as a room boy.
