Relatives of a man who died few days back due to alleged negligence by hospital staff blamed that the cheques of Rs.10 Lac which were given as compensation got bounced. When contacted hospital authority, they dared victim’s family to approach police.

According to the news published in a local daily “Madadgar”, a 30-year-old Shehzad, resident of Farukh-e-Azam Colony went to GBH American Hospital for dialysis. He reached hospital in good health but after getting two injections one at a time, Shehzad died immediately.

First the hospital authority tried to hide the death by shifting the dead body of Shehzad on ventilator but after sometime when a large number of relatives gathered at hospital, the staff accepted negligence on their part and gave cheques Rs.5 Lac each to the two daughters of Shehzad as compensation.

As per the news report, the family members got shocked when both cheques bounced, when approached hospital authorities, they didn’t respond positively and asked relatives to approach police. On the other hand, Shehzad’s body was buried without postmortem on the day of incident and no case was registered.

The helpless family members of the deceased have nowhere to go now as neither hospital administration nor police is ready to help them.

Shehzad was poor man working at a car décor, he was diagnosed with kidney failure and his kidney transplant operation was scheduled on 22^nd Feb at Ahmedabad but before that he died due to negligence of hospital. Moreover after his death, the hospital cheated him.
