Police discovered the dead bodies of a couple early morning today, at the Housing Board Colony in Sector 14, Hiran Magri.
As per information provided by the Goveradhan Vilas Police Station, the police found a couple dead in their rented house at Hiran Magri today. The wifes body was lying on the bed while the husbands body was found hanging in the balcony. A suicide note was found written on the wall, which blamed a certain Umashanker, alias Senti Banna for their death (suicide).
The dead couple were identified as Sunil Soni and Suman Soni. 52 year old Sunil was working as a painter and his wife, 38 year old Suman was a cook at a nearby ashram. They belonged to Ajmer and were living in a rented accomodation at the Housing Board Colony for the past 5 years. Neighbours informed police that they witnessed regular altercations between Sunil and Suman, due to Sunil being possessive and suspicious in nature and assumiing that Suman was having an illicit affair.
Towards morning today, when the house owner failed to notice any activity in the couple's home, he noticed that Sunil's body was hanging in the balcony. On checking further, he saw Suman's body lying on the bed. Apparently, Sunil had strangled his wife to death befoore writing the suicide note on the wall and hanging himself.
On further interrogation, Police were informed that the couple was childless after 20 years of marriage and Sunil was suspicious of Suman's character. They further discovered that just two days back, the couple had registered a FIR against one another in the Women's Cell and after explananation, cajoling and negotiaion, both withdrew their FIRs.
The dead bodies have been sent to the mortuary and police are investigating the case and the involvement of the person named in the suicide note.
