Illegal Liquor confiscated from car on Udaipur-Ahmadabad highway
Bichiwara Police laid a blockade on the Udaipur-Ahmadabad highway during late hours of 24 October, which resulted in car carrying illegal liquor being confiscated. The incident occurred on NH8, when the vehicle carrying liquor was on its way to Ahmadabad, from Udaipur.

Sunil Sharma, Police Officer at Bichiwara informed that a car carrying two people including the driver was stopped on NH8 in the late hours of 24 October, while it was on its way to Ahmedabad. The police discovered cartons of liquor beneath the seats, leading to the car being confiscated along with the liquor and the arrest of the two people in the car.
28 bottles of imported liquor was confiscated and two persons, namely Pannalal Gameti s/o Bhanwarlal Gameti, resident of Thur, Udaipur and Bharatlal Gameti, s/o Udaji Gameti, resident of Jindoli, Udaipur were taken into police custody.
On interrogation by the police, it was understood that the Maruti Van belonged to one Laxman Singh, resident of Salumbar. The vehicle, with the boxes containing liquor was picked up from Goverdhan Vilas and was to be delivered at Ahmadabad.
