A person posing to be a well known legislator of Udaipur robbed a jeweller from Moti Chohatta area. As reported in Ghantaghar police station, an impostor robbed off 5 lakh rupees from a jeweller. Police have started search operations against this impostor.

Dhanraj Joshi owns a jewellery shop in Moti Chohatta. He received a phone call as per which the caller was a well known legislator. The so called legislator said that he was in urgent need of money for a relative who was admitted in hospital in Jaipur. The “legislator” also said that he was busy in a meeting hence he could not move out to make necessary arrangements. He asked the jeweller to arrange for 5 lakh rupees. The jeweller arranged for money and sent it to the place mentioned by the impostor.

The person carrying the amount to Kishanpol (as asked over the phone call) was met by a man who took the cash and left. The caller had promised the jeweller that he would repay the amount in 2 days. Since the jeweller did not receive even a phone call for two days he called on the number from which he received the call. To his utter shock, the person on other side of line refused to give back the money.  Dhanraj then reported the matter to police.

On the other hand, Bhilwara police informed that they had arrested 2 persons who have been robbing people. Investigations are on to get details from these 2 persons.
