Raid on Hotel and Restaurant in Udaipur Triggered by Tax Evasion Complaint

Udaipur Ffeb 19, 2026: Income Tax authorities reportedly conduted raids at a hotel and restaurant in Udaipur on Wednesday Feb 18. Both businesses are said to be owned by the same individual. The team began the raid simultaneously at 7am on both locations and conducted a comprehensive search operation. The said restaurant is located at Gangaur Ghat while the hotel is is located at Haridas ji ki Magri - both on the banks of Lake Pichhola.
The team reportedly carried out extensive search of the premises and were looking for bank account details, financial paperwork and other related essential documents. The hotel is a 29 room property while the restaurant is located at a major tourist hub.
The raid, it is reported was carried out following a complaint pertaining to tax evasion.
