Information of foreign tourists was not revealed by a hostel in Udaipur. Case has been registered against the manager and staff of the hostel.
Following the fatal coronavirus spreading quickly among people, it was strictly directed by administration that all hotels, guest houses, hostels, paying guest houses must provide complete information about the foreign tourists staying in these places. Reportedly, one of the hostels in Udaipur did not provide correct information about the foreign tourists staying here. There were 15 foreign tourists from the last week of February to 1st week of March but information was given for only 4 tourists in the C-form.
Cases have been registered against the manager and the staff of Castle NamahStay Hostel at Chandpole road. The remaining hidden tourists were from UK(8), USA(2) and Ireland(1). All these tourists are held up in Udaipur because of lockdown and could not return to their native places.
When CID officers came to know of this, they had screening done for these tourists. Fortunately all the tourists are in good health. Police has registered cases against the manager of the hostel Ankit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary, Shakir Hussain and the owner Gopal Purohit.
