Udaipur,16.04.23- The Ambamata police has uncovered a major burglary reported on 4th April 2023 and arrested an inter-state burglar having more than 2 dozen of criminal cases registered on him at various state. He was earlier arrested was sent to jail following various cases of theft and burglary committed by him in Indore ,M.P.

The 25 year old accused against whom, various cases were registered against him at various police stations of different states had recently committed a burglary at one Sandeep Porwal's house at Ambamata circle of Udaipur. During the incident the accused had stolen, ornaments of gold, silver and Rs.50 thousand in cash  from Porwal's house. 

Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma said that the Ambamata police on Saturday got a tip off about a suspicious car heading toward Bari village ,acting upon the information a team of Ambamata police station including Station House Officer Ravindra Charan , Head Constable Sunil Bishnoi, Head Constable Khuman Singh, Constable Pramod, Constable Shrawan Kumar and Constable Lokesh Raikwal of Cyber Cell conducted a road barricading during which the suspected car was spotted. The man riding the car tired to escape, the police chased the car and somehow caught the suspect.

The arrested accused was identified as Mohammed Azhar Sheikh alias Sameer a resident of Mumbai, Maharasthra . Azhar has so far accepted committing 25 incidents of theft and burglary at Udaipur,2 such incidents at Basnwara and 02 incidents at M.P.

Modus Operandi : 

During the interrogation accused Azhar revealed that he actively committing theft and burgalry at Udaipur from last one year. He use to hire taxi from Mumbai to Udaipur, after reaching at Udaipur he stayed in hotel room and use to do recce of the isolated houses and commit theft and burglary later at night.

Police has now registered a case against the accused Azhar and interrogating him further for other incidences burglary being committed in Udaipur.Police is also attempting to recover the ornaments and cash stolen by the accused.
