Udaipur police on Saturday arrested an interstate gang involved in loot and burglary.  The accused accepted committing 13 incidences of loot at various areas in different states including MP, Shimla and Rajasthan.  They have been taken into Police Custody and the Police are conducting interrogations in order to recover the looted cash from them.

Arrested accused, who were identified as Karan Sisodia, Saka Sisodia and Sunny Sisodia, hail from MP and were involved in looting people for cash; elderly people carrying cash with them were their special targets, SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal said.

Goyal further added that on Saturday Bhinder police got a tip off that a gang involved in loot was present at Banswara, wherein on getting the information Bhinder police team rushed to Banswara.  However, before the team could reach Banswara, the trio had moved to Gadi Pratappur area. The police managed to intercept the trio while they were in the process of conducting another loot at SBBJ branch. Karan Singh was nabbed by the police during this interception but two of his accomplices Saka and Sunny managed to escape. The two were eventually nabbed from a roadways bus that was heading towards Udaipur.

The accused, in preliminary investigation, have confessed to a loot of Rs 2 lakhs on 25th August from Ramlal of Saleda village. He was targeted outside the SBBJ branch while he was heading towards his house with cash, informed, SP Goyal.

The trio also confessed to having conducted loot from Chaksu (Jaipur), Bara, Chittorgarh,Fatahpur, Jhalawad, and Sagwada(Dungarpur) besides Bhinder amounting to  Rs 8 lakh. Besides this, they also accepted snatching of Rs. 39 lakhs at Kulli Manali from a business man, SP Rajendra Prasad informed.

Talking about the modus operandi, SP Goyal informed that the trio used a variety of measures depending on situation including snatching of bags from victim, stealing bags of cash from people’s vehicles or using razor blades to get the money from the bag full of cash.

The accused trio is still under police interrogation and the police expects a recovery of the stolen cash and additional details on their robberies.
