A boy from Jaipur was booked under various sections of Information Technology (IT) Act by Udaipur police on Wednesday for uploading objectionable pictures of a girl, over the internet.

The incident came to light when the mother of the girl reached the local police station and lodged an FIR against the accused.

As per Police, “The mother of the girl informed Goverdhan Vilas police that her daughter was being harassed by the accused. He was foecing the girl to send her photos to him over the last several months.  She also informed that both the girl and the accused boy came in contact from last 2 years when the boy came to Udaipur to attend a marriage function and had stayed at a room situated near victim’s house”.

“The mother also informed that the boy stayed in contact with her daughter and became friends. During this tenure, he snapped some objectionable pictures of the victim and started demanding more of such snaps from her. The girl felt humiliated when she got to know that the accused boy has shared those pictures online”, as informed by the police.

Recently, after getting mentally harassed, the girl shared the whole incidence with her parents, after which they lodged an FIR against the accused at Goverdhan Villas Police station at Udaipur under various sections of IT act, Police added.

The case has been registered and the investigation of the matter has been started by the cops.
