A jewellery thief has been arrested by Surajpole police. Jewellery and cash worth 1 and half lakhs has been recovered from him.

Surajpole police have recovered jewellery and cash worth 1 and half lakhs from a thief on Sunday. SI Heramb Joshi said that the thief is a history sheeter. Sanjay Singh (Sattu Patel) s/o Himmat Singh Rajput resident of Government press area has been arrested. Sanjay has a number of cases against him.

Asha Singh w/o Prem Singh Tanwar resident of Kishanpole filed a complaint of theft on Saturday. As per the complaint, 7 tola of gold consisting of mangalsutra, earrings and gold chain and cash around 20 thousand were stolen from her house. Police were also informed that Sanjay Singh was seen moving around in that area.

Upon arrest, Sanjay confessed committing this theft. All stuff has been recovered from him.
