 A businessman was robbed by men wearing police jackets in sabji mandi area in Savina. 2 men who were clad in khakhi jackets similar to that of police force robbed an onion dealer in sabji mandi area. Manak Lal Patidar from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, was in Savina sabji mandi to trade onions. He had 100 sacks of onions which he sold in the sabji mandi.

After the sale, he kept 20000 rupees in his pocket and walked towards the exit gate. He was followed by 2 men on a bike that looked like police men since they were wearing khakhi jackets. These men told Manak Lal that their officer wanted to meet him. They also asked for his identification papers and enquired about the packet he carried with him. They asked him to take out the cash from his pocket. Then the men told Manak Lal to move away to a safe place as riots were going on in the city. Later they called him again and asked him to produce the cash bag again, which they returned after pretending to check it. After they left, Manak Lal checked his bag and found that he had been robbed off 20000 rupees. He ran here and there searching for these khakhi robbers who had fled by then.

Manak reported the incident to police informing them that he frequently visits Udaipur to sell onions in the market. Probably these robbers had an eye on him since the moment he kept the cash in his pocket. Police is trying to find the robbers though they could not be traced even through the CCTV footages.
