A man has been arrested for stealing cash from neighbourhood in Kanpur, Udaipur.

A man has been arrested for stealing cash from neighbourhood in Kanpur, Udaipur. The case was reported at Pratapnagar police station on 8th July. 80000 rupees in cash have been recovered from him by Pratapnagar police. CI Dr.Hanwant Singh Rajpurohit said that Pankaj, s/o Jagdish Sharma of Kanpur, Jagat ka hal, has been arrested in this matter.

As per the FIR with Pratapnagar police station, Meena d/o Narayan Vaishnav had kept 80000 rupees in a box at her home. Meena is a working person and her children, 13 year old daughter and 6 year old son, were at home on their own. When Meena opened the box to take out some money in need, the entire amount was missing. Meena accused Pankaj of stealing the money from her house in her absence and reported to the police.

Pankaj used to work in Gujarat. Due to his habit of gambling, he lost lot money and owed to people in the market. His father paid off all the debts and brought him back to Udaipur. He opened a restaurant which didn’t flourish and he lost money again. To pay off loans taken from market, he decided to steal and this is how he stole from Meena’s house. The details were brought to light by ASI Kailash Singh and Constable Mukesh.
