A man has been arrested in case of property fraud. He was reportedly absconding for the last 8 months.

Pratapnagar police has arrested Udai Lal Jat for committing a fraud of 37 lakh rupees in a property case. As per sources, he had sold his house on which there was an outstanding loan taken from a bank in Ahmedabad. He wanted to send his son to Britain for further studies for which he sold the house. Udai Lal and his son have both been accused for selling the house without clearing the bank loan and the former has been arrested.

A woman appealed in court almost 8 months back that Udai Lal made the deals for selling the house. He took 37 lakh rupees from the appellant lady. He gave her one room and kitchen and later kicked her out and locked the house. He even refused to complete the registration formalities and did not even return her the amount.

A case of fraud was registered against Udai Lal but he was absconding since last 8 months. Police arrested him on Friday and he is now on police remand. The woman said that she had shifted all her belongings in this house. She even invited all friends and relatives for house warming ceremony in which Udai Lal was also invited. The next morning when she went back to the new house, she found that it had been locked by someone. She called up Udai Lal who cunningly refused having made any deal with her even denied taking any money. He even told her to vacate the house.

As per police investigations, Udai Lal had sent all the money to his son in Britain who was pursuing MBA course. Son Vishvendra Jat has also been accused for being party to the fraud. Udai Lal is an engineer and has even worked in Dubai for 15 years. There are already a couple of cases against him in Bhindar, Vallabh Nagar and even Bhupalpura police station.
