The Whole Story

In 2019, Rahul eloped with Bhanupriya, who was married then. Rahul was a priest at the Hanuman Temple at Delhi Gate and the relationship blossomed after regular visits by Bhanupriya to the temple for Pooja.

Rahul, a resident of Keshav Nagar, eloped with Bhanupriya and they both were staying at Rajsamand since 2o19. Over the following months, the two kept on having regular arguments and altercations. After one such intense altercation, Rahul choked Bhanupriya to death and kept her body in the rented house where they were staying. After the murder, he watched 1300 episodes of Crime Patrol in order to understand how to keep the body in the house without disposing it off. After learning the ropes, he dumped her body in a drum and filled it with a few other chemicals and kept the dead body in their room for nearly a year.

According to SP Yadav, the murder came to light when one day, the accused went to his native village, leaving the dead body inside the drum. Somehow, the mixture leaked from the drum and a smell emanated from the room. The landlord called Rahul and told him to clean the room or leave the house as the smell was overwhelming. Rahul came to the house and confessed his crime the landlord and asked him to help him dispose off the body. Both Rahul and the landlord cremated the body beside a river near the house and dumped the mortal remains in the river.
