Man burns wife for a petty amount
A man burnt his wife for a petty amount of 200 rupees in front of their children.
A man burnt his wife in front of kids. He was irritated over an argument that concerned 200 rupees.
In an argument over 200 rupees, a man burnt his wife agitated by her inquisitiveness regarding extra amount taken by the husband for payment to the excavator driver. The husband took 200 rupees over and above the amount to be paid to the driver of the excavator. The work comprised of cutting and leveling of the hill. The husband got over irritated at wife’s questions about extra amount being taken and threw kerosene over her and set her on fire. The accused ran away after the incident. The victim was admitted to MB Hospital but could not survive. A case of murder has been registered by the victim’s brother.
Pahada police station in-charge Jeevatram said that Jijadevi’s(40) husband RameshChandra Kharadi took 200 rupees more than the amount to be paid to the JCB driver. This became the point of argument between the couple. Ramesh Chandra got agitated and threw kerosene over his wife and set her to fire. He left her there with severe burns and ran to the jungle. The couple’s children went to their uncle Ranchodlal and other relatives and informed them of the happening. Before Ranchodlal could reach his borther’s place, Ramesh had already fled from there. Jijadevi was taken to the Pahada police station and from there she was taken to the hospital where she gave her statement that her husband had burnt her. Jijadevi’s brother had called for an excavator machine to level the hill near her house. The charges to be paid to the driver were 1600 rupees but Ramesh Chandra took 1800 rupees which became the matter of argument. The couple used to fight very often regarding money matters. Ramesh Chandra was a drunkard and used to argue with his wife daily and even used to bash her up in front of the children.
