One arrested; three absconding

A man was killed after a drunken brawl between friends after an evening party in Udaipur. The party, where the participants were found to have consumed alcohol, was held near the Kabutriya Aniket at Alsigarh village, which falls under the Nai Police station in Udaipur. The police have arrested one of the accused, while the other three accused, all of whom are supposedly friends of the victim, are on the run.

Shyam Singh Ratnu, Station House Officer of Nai police station informed that the dead body of a middle aged man was found in a pool of blood with his head crushed, near the Kabutriya Aniket. The dead man was later identified as Dita, a resident of Alsigarh village. He added that the indicent prima facie appears to be that of murder. the body was shifted to the mortuary. Later, the elder brother of the deceased man Dita lodged an FIR against Ramesh, Mahendra, Laxman and Shyam, all residents of the same village. The victim's brother in his report to police stated that he went to work Udaipur along with four of accused and was last seen by the locals. As per the information given by the deceased's brother, the men were seen partying and drinking alcohol near Kabutriya Aniket on 7 September around 10 pm.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the four men named in the FIR and initiated an investigation into the matter. However, Ramesh, one of the four accused has been arrested by the police on Friday. During his interrogation, he revealed that he and Dita, both had an argument during the party. The argument soon turned into a brawl and all the four friends started beating Dita. The attack on Dita left him dead. They dragged his body near the aniket and fled the scene leaving the dead body there, said Ratnu.

The accused, as per Ratnu, first went to their respective homes, but later fled after the police began their investigations.
