A man was found dead near Hotel Kingfisher in Goverdhan Vilas police station area. The man had been hit by a bullet in his chest and had died due to the same.

Police identified the man on the basis of papers found in his pocket. The deceased has been identified as Sec 14 resident Rakesh Kotwani. Family members of the deceased were informed and they burst out crying on seeing the dead body.

Family members said that Rakesh had left the house last night without informing anyone. His mobile came as switched off post midnight.

Police found his Activa lying near the spot. Police is interrogating the people staying nearby and the hotel workers in the vicinity. The Police is however yet to get any clue on the incident.
