A woman was stabbed several times by her husband over family issue, after stabbing his wife, the man tried to kill himself by consuming poison.

Both husband and wife are admitted in hospital for multiple injuries, however both are considered ‘out of danger’ by doctors.

Pooja Sharma (35) runs a ladies beauty parlor in old city area of Bhatiyani Chohta. She started working at round 10:15 am today when her husband, Premshankar Sharma a professional painter made a sudden visit and started arguing over some issue with her, the argument turned worse and Premshankar in anger took a scissor and stabbed Pooja several times on her back, hands and legs injuring her severely.

Premshankar who allegedly planned everything consumed the poison soon after assaulting his wife.

After hearing the cry, some people came to help and rushed the couple to hospital, both were admitted. However, Premshankar came to consciousness soon but Pooja was unconscious till early this afternoon.

From sources, both husband and wife were going through bad marriage since few times and a family dispute case is also lodged in Mahila Thana (Udaipur).

Premshankar blamed his father-in-law Lacchiram Sharma for the incident that took place. Concerned Police station is investigating today’s incident further.
