A man made an attempt to escape with a woman’s handbag that he stole from her car. He was grabbed and beaten by public and later handed over to police. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon. As per the eye-witnesses, Firoz Khan stole a bag from a car parked outside Akar Complex. The moment he picked up the bag, 2 youths on a bike who were watching this incident caught hold of him immediately and enquired about the bag. Since Firoz had no relevant explanation about the female handbag, the public present around beat him up. Then police was informed. Bhupalpura police reached the spot and arrested the thief.
