Sixth arrest was made in the multi thousand crore drug racket that was unravelled last year in Udaipur. A Gujarat based businessman was arrested by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).

Gujarat based businessman, Sanjay Patel was summoned by DRI, Jaipur for questioning on 17 Feb. He was arrested  yesterday under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

He was accused of exporting Mandrax from Udaipur to Mumbai. Sanjay was produced before NDPS court in Udaipur and remanded to judicial custody till 1 March.

Readers may remember that a massive drug racket was unravelled in Kaladwas region of Udaipur last year. This has been termed as one of the largest drug hauls in the country.
