A raid was initiated by the Rajasthan unit of the Income Tax department today at 25 locations of 2 business houses in Udaipur. The department is conducting action in 3 states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as they suspect these two business houses of massive tax evasion.

One of the businessman being raided is a prominent marble group owner while the other runs a chain of hospitals. The raid is being carried out in 25 locations including Udaipur, Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bhilwara and Chittorgarh.

The marble company has business spread across multiple countries and is a 100% export unit.

The Udaipur head quartered hospital chain leads in specialised treatment and has its hospital chain spread across Rajasthan, Gujarat and MP.

Besides the business premises, income tax team is also conducting raid at the houses of the two business proprietors in Udaipur and their close associates.
