A female nurse has lodged a case at Hathipole Police station accusing a male nurse of indulging in sexual harassment. The report was lodged yesterday evening. Female nurse lodged the complaint after her failed attempts at getting justice from Nursing Superintendent in the case.

SHO, Hathipole Police station has taken cognisance of the seriousness of the matter and filed a sexual harrassment case. The case has been handed over to Dal Chand Meghwal stationed at Hospital Chowki.

It may be noted that Child care unit in-charge Dr Suresh Goyal had submitted the report in this matter to the office of Nursing Superintendent. The victim stayed outside the hospital unit for the entire afternoon yesterday seeking justice but when she heard nothing, she went and lodged a complaint at the police station.

Six months back when the victim was assigned duty in the child care unit. About 2.5 months back, the accused male nurse assigned duty as second in-charge grabbed the victims hand and used obscene and profane language. The matter didn’t stop there and on 1-Sept, both of them almost came down to a fist fight. The victim alleged that senior nursing workers were also present during the incident. The victim also accused that the male nurse used to talk about sexual matters with her and was even forcing to get her into night duty. She said that she has escalated the matter multiple times with her superiors but to no avail.
