Medical executive Pramod Mehta was murdered on 5^th June 2017. It’s been a month but there is no trace of his murderers.

Just 200 metres away from the Dhanmandi Police Control room, Pramod Mehta(42) was shot dead. Eye witnesses are not willing to speak up due to fear. As per police, people had seen the culprits while they were trying to snatch the bag containing money. While Pramod Mehta was trying to free himself from the grip of the two men who had come with masks on their face, one man’s mask had slipped off revealing his face. Mehta recognized that man and as a result he was shot dead. Witnesses are not ready to give their statements since they fear that they might also be murdered in some or the other way by these murderers. Pramod Mehta was shot in broad daylight and the murderers are still not beyond bars. Police is trying to make the people speak, but in vain. The murderers had the benefit of narrow lanes and escaped easily. The bag that Pramod Mehta had during the incident contained around 4 and half lakh rupees which the culprits could not take away with them as a huge mob had gathered upon hearing gun shots. The bullet had hit his shoulder and penetrated to his heart. Prima facie, he was looted only for money as acquaintances said that he had no animosity with anyone and was a very quiet man.
