 Udaipur,02.04.23 - Police have arrested a 20 year old man after he killed nine year old girl and chopped her body into pieces. The deceased girl was missing since Tuesday 29th March and was found in an abandoned house at Lopda village of Mavli block of Udaipur. The pieces of the dead body was found in three bags kept inside the house.

Udaipur Sp Vikas Sharma told that the accused is one of the neighbors of the victim identified as Kamlesh Rajput (20) a resident of the same village. Police got the name of the accused during the investigation of the matter,  when the police raided his house he was found missing, later he was arrested from the nearby forest.

Sharma said that during the interrogation the accused confessed his crime. He told police that he saw the victim girl on 29th March while she was heading towards her uncle's fields. He abducted her took her to the abandoned house located few meters away from victim's house, raped her and chocked her death. Later he chopped her body in 10 pieces and stuffed them in 3 bags and left them in the house and fled the scene.

The accused has been booked under various sections of IPC including section 302 and section 363 and he is still under police interrogation and the police is questioning him further about the case and also trying to recover the weapon used by him to chop off the body parts, Sharma added.

As soon as the incident of the heinous murder came to light the villagers started protesting against it, later Inspector General of Police Ajay Pal Lamba and Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma also rushed to the scene to take the stock of the situation.

The police have questioned few suspects of the area in relation to the murder but the exact cause of murder is yet to be ascertained.

The Incident came to light late on Saturday when some one from the village got the smell from the deserted house. When he went inside the house he spotted the pieces of the girl's body stuffed into 3 bags kept inside the house, he than raised an alaram upon which other villagers and the parents of the minor girl Pooja rushed to the place and later called the police.

Victim's uncle Mangi Lal told that It was on Wednesday 29th March when the girl Pooja a 3rd grader returned back home from her school at around 4 pm, after having her lunch she went out to visit Mangi Lal's house located nearby. She bought a packet of chips from the general store and went away. but when she did not returned back home her parents started searching her. After searching her for hours the parents informed the police and also lodged a Missing Person Report (MPR) after which the police have launched a search operation. But the dead body of the victim girl was found in the abandoned house after which the atmosphere of the village got tensed.

Victim's parents have 5 children including 4 sons and a daughter and she was the youngest among them. She was the student of 3rd class studying at the Government School of the area, Mangi Lal added.

He further said that they are having a doubt that the girl was abducted, tortured and was raped before she was killed.

As soon as the incidence of the heinous murder came to light the villagers started protesting against it, and started demanding strict action against the culprits.

 Mahesh Paliwal a resident of the Lopda village said that relatives and the villagers are demanding that the culprits should be arrested as soon as possible, the matter should be tried in Fast Track Court and they should be given capital punishment so that the victim's family can get justice and an example should be created for others in the entire country.

Talking about the incidence the Deputy Sp Mavli Kailash Kunwar Rathore said that "We have got a complaint of kidnapping on 29th March, the victim girl was missing from house since 29th March after 4 pm, since than police was in search of her. But the chopped pieces of the victim's body was found on Saturday. However it is not clear yet that the victim girl was raped or not , but the things will get clear after getting the postmortem report. The postmortem has been conducted through medical board".
