Miscreants arrested in case of looting tourists
Criminals robbing foreign tourists arrested by Ambamata police.
3 accused in cases of looting tourists have been arrested by Ambamata police. These 3 are habitual criminals and a number of cases are registered against them.
Naresh Dangi (22), OmPrakash Dangi (19) and Punit Menaria (18), all residents of Loyera, have been arrested for robbing foreign tourists. Since police has been too busy in election duties, these criminals got a good opportunity of robbing without fear.
As per reports, a lady from Denmark was going towards Badi on a two-wheeler after visiting Animal Aid NGO on 6th December. These criminals deliberately hit the lady’s 2-wheeler which made her fall. They then snatched her hand bag and sped away. There were some books, 5 thousand rupees, Visa, credit card and a mobile in the bag.
Similarly on 7th December, another volunteer of Animal Aid hailing from UK was heading to Devali when these criminals tried to snatch her bag after hitting her 2-wheeler the same way. Since public collected at the place they could not take the bag away.
Naresh Dangi has 6 cases of robbery against him. When interrogated by police regarding robbing foreign tourists, he said that foreigners carry a lot of cash with them hence they become a good prey. Since police has been busy with election duties, the 3 criminals stole the opportunity committing these crimes without the fear of getting caught.
