Police solved the firing incident that happened about 10 days back at Mukherjee Chowk about 10 days back. 3 people including one female was arrested in the case today. The prime accused, however, is still absconding.

Readers may note that Akhtar, brother of history sheeter Azam was shot at in the Mukherjee Chowk area on night of 27 April 2017. It was then speculated that one Imran Koonjda was behind the same and his strong rivalry with Akhtar was speculated to be the reason. Investigations proved the same to be true.

Imran had come with a lady on her Activa and shot at Akhtar. The lady, identified as Sajjan Nagar resident Shabnam (alias Shabbo). Shabnam was arrested by the Police today whereas Imran has apparently fled from the city.

Police has also arrested Kunjarwadi Dhanmandi resident Mohammad Hussain (s/o Yusuf) and Waseem (alias Chimni) s/o Mohammad Akram in the case.

Imran has been wanted in multiple earlier cases by Police and has now become a menace for the department.
