"400kg RDX on 34 'Human Bombs'" Threat Message Puts Mumbai Cops on High Alert
Senior Officials say that such messages are a regular feature in the city, but all possible angles are being explored
Mumbai, Sept 05, 2025: As the nation gets together to celebrate Eid Milad, Onam and Teacher's Day, the Mumbai police have shifted gears to High Alert. The shift happened after traffic police in the busiest metro in India received a thret message on their official WhatsApp number on September 5, claiming to be from an organisation called "Lashkar-e-Jihadi. The message claimed that 34 "human bombs" are carrying 400kg of RDX in 34 vehicles across various parts of Mumbai. It also said that 14 terrorists have entered India from Pakistan, the police said.
They added that subsequent to the message, the police across Mumbai has been put on high alert and all through Maharashtra security is being enhanced. This is being done as a standard operating procedure, following such threats, said the police. The police further said that the number is being tracked and they should reach the original sender soon. Legal action will follow subsequent to investigations.
