The Mumbai Police Crime Branch team arrested the main accused in the Mumbai (Ghatkopar) hoarding collapse on 13 May. The hoarding collapse kille 16 persons.
Bhavesh Bhinde, the director of Ego Media Pvt Ltd, the company that erected the hoarding, was arrested from a hotel in the Goverdhan Vilas area of Udaipur, where he had been in hiding since the collapse of the hoarding on 13 May. Earlier, the search and rescue operation at the site of the collapse was called of on Thursday morning and on coincidentally, on Thursday evening Bhavesh was arrested from Udaipur.
As per media reports, Mumbai Police had earlier searched his various possible hideouts in Mumbai and Lonavala and finally arrested him from Udaipur. The Mumbai Police are on their way to Mumbai after picking up Bhavesh from Udaipur.

The search operation for missing in the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse was called off by the NDRF after a search operation that lasted 66 hours under the rubble of the 120'x125' hoarding collapsed on petrol pump in Chheda Nagar area of Ghatkopar suburb of Mumbai. The tragedy left 75 peopl injured. The last two bodies found before the operation was called off, were that of a retired General Manager of Air Traffic Control and his wife, as per media reports.
