The Mumbai Police have made a significant breakthrough in their fight against drug trafficking, uncovering a  drug-making unit in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. Acting on intelligence, law enforcement officials seized mephedrone worth Rs 107 crore from the premises.

Last December, the Sakinaka police apprehended two individuals in Mumbai in possession of mephedrone valued at over Rs 3 crore. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the contraband had been sourced from a person operating a drug manufacturing unit in Jodhpur.

Later, when the police checked the suspect's place in Jodhpur, they found a complete drug-making setup. They not only discovered a lot of mephedrone but also seized the materials used to make it. These materials were hidden cleverly in a storage space on the property.

All three individuals involved have been charged under the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The investigation into the matter remains ongoing as authorities seek to dismantle further links in the drug supply chain.
