Police detained two accused Asif and Saddam for the murder of 21 year old Rohit Khatik, resident of Ambavgarh. The accused were caught yesterday during the massive search laid by the police.

The situation turned tense after Rohit succumbed to the severe injuries caused by multiple stabs. Markets of old city areas were closed in the protest of the murder and relatives demanded quick arrest of the accused.

District collector Ashutosh Pednekar announced financial aid to the victim’s family. In the evening, one of the accused Saddam was detained and later at night another accused was also caught.

Both the victim and accused were working in the same company but due to some petty issue, the accused were jealous of the victim.

On the night of 8^th August, the accused duo called Rohit to a place and stabbed him several times before fleeing from there. Rohit died the next day during treatment.
